What to expect from a session, what is Hypno-CBT and Kinesiology

If treatments offered are suitable, we will book our 1st session.

Sessions

Sessions are online, preferably on Zoom, but Skype/ FaceTime are possible especially with 30 min sessions. 
I recommend 1 hour for the 1st session but 30 min is also possible. 

Sessions look like what works best for you: talking, CBT or Mind-Body exercises, Hypnotherapy. There are many ways to help you experience the changes you are looking for.

What is  Hypno-CBT® (Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy)?

Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy or Hypno-CBT® as I practice it is the main evidence-based form of hypnotherapy. 

It is a non-trance model of hypnosis and one of the 3 major approaches to hypnosis - 2 others being the Ericksonian and the Regression/ Freudian ones.

Hypnotherapy has been recognised by the British Medical Association, the American Medical Association and the National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE) a safe alternative that can efficiently help with a wide range of issues. 

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy is a form of time-limited psychological treatment that explores the connection between thoughts, emotions and behaviours in order to help clients develop more adaptative life strategies.   

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy combined with Hypnotherapy has proven to be more effective and long-lasting than either individual method. It focuses on the current situation and how to change it.

A typical session will alternate between discussions, exercises or tools you acquire to help you cope better with the situation, and moment of hypnosis to develop and anchor the positive changes.

What is Kinesiology?

The approach to kinesiology I practice is a non-invasive mind-body therapy aiming at shifting your energy in order to change effectively patterns holding you back, using a combination of biofeedback, emotional freedom techniques and tapping techniques (gentle self tapping on selected acupressure points).

The idea is to identify what is creating a disturbance in your energy system and overcome that obstacle to regain balance, well-being and confidence.

 

During a session, the client's goal is defined: techniques are then selected from a list of available kinesiology's tools (like a menu). It can range from visualisation combined with acupressure points, very gentle mouvements while working on colours and sounds or while focusing on specific emotions and/or repeating affirmations, etc.

When emotions and situations are overwhelming up to a point that putting words on them is difficult, those techniques can help bring clarity of thoughts, serenity and alignment. 

​

I offer kinesiology sessions or a combination with hypnotherapy and the cognitive behavioural approach based on a thorough assessment of the interactions between emotion/ cognition/ behaviour.

Please note that kinesiology does not treat or diagnose symptoms, but works with your energy and goals in order to enhance performance and well-being.

If you have a confirmed scheduled booking for a session that you wish to cancel, you must do so at least 48 hours in advance of the session. Cancellation within 48 hours will result in a late cancellation fee.
